Shoko Mafune ceramics

Shoko has been working with clay since she was a child growing up in Japan. With both parents working creatively, her talent with clay was nurtured through study under Japanese pottery masters. Her influences come from having lived in a number of different cultures and countries, merging to create the delightful figures evident today. Shoko wants people to connect with her work – they are meant to be touched, to be felt, not only looked at. So, when you next visit With Max & Me, look out for Shoko pieces, and maybe you will find one that connects with you, ready to take home.
